A group of ten adventurous students had a great day on June 26th at Steep Rock Preserve, Washington Ct. Meeting new friends and feeling the cold air from the train tunnel was only the beginning. Several students enjoyed taking pictures and admiring simple things like the moss on the rocks and wood, the mushrooms and waterfalls. Carefully stepping around the orange salamanders and avoiding the steep drop offs slowed us down to enjoy all nature had to offer. A short rain shower only cooled us off as did stepping in the river to observe the crayfish. One of our newest guests announced, “I am so glad my Mom signed me up for this!”. Stay tuned for more adventures!
