The maple sugaring season is getting under way at the Youth Agency. Over 20 high school and college students have signed up to help with this year’s program. Already, crews are out in the woods setting up the trees for tapping. Temperatures in the teens are making this work a little more interesting than normal.
Free Introduction to Positive Discipline Parenting Program:
Tuesday 1/14/2014: 6:00 PM-7:30 PM @ the Maxx, 94 Railroad Street.
6 Week Class series: Tuesday evenings 1/28-3/4 6:00-7:30PM
@ the Maxx. Cost is $65 for the 6 week course.
Co-facilitators: Certified Positive Discipline instructors: Laura Cleary of the New Milford Youth Agency and Allison Fulton of HVCASA
Positive Discipline is a program that helps parents develop tools and strengthen skills to build a parent/child relationship based on encouragement, mutual respect and communication. It’s a great program and the classes are practical and interactive.

The Youth Agency’s Ski Club started on December 19th with a great group of 7th graders at Mohawk. The weather and conditions were
ideal and the views, as the sun set, made everyone want to take pictures! We are looking forward to many more great nights this season, as we have over 60 students who want to go snowboarding or skiing! 
We are looking forward to seeing everyone for our
annual Staff & Volunteer Holiday Party on Sunday evening!
