Date Battering
Estimates show that one in ten teenagers is involved in a date battering relationship. No one deserves to be hit. If you or someone you know is involved in this type of relationship, get help. Don’t go through it alone.Healthy relationships consist of the following:
- Communication
- Trust
- Respect
- Fun and Laughter
- Shared interests
Abusive relationships are when your boy/girlfriend acts in at least one of the following ways:
- Is jealous
- Puts you down
- Intimidates you
- Tells you what to do
- Restrains you
- Follows you
- Checks up on you
- Demands that you account for your time
- Destroys your property on purpose
- Threatens or hurts you
