Plow to Plate Youth Chef Advocacy

The Youth Chef Advocacy Program is a sustainable, culinary program that goes far beyond just learning basic kitchen and culinary skills or standard nutrition facts. It is a program that teaches one about fresh, seasonal, locally grown whole food from farm to family table and why it is so vitally important to our well-being and the well-being of our world. It exposes kids to the intangibles of the life of the agricultural community in Connecticut and underscores the importance of sharing a meal with family and community. It also provides you with a platform for which to speak about an aspect of food or farming that is important to you.
The New Milford Youth Agency has teamed with the New Milford Hospital to create The Youth Chef Advocacy Program.The program is now open to take applications. Print out the application below and mail it before Feb 4 to:
